Fearfullly and Wonderfully Made

 My daughter, Aubrey, and I watched the movie "I am Sam" yesterday. You know the one with Sean Penn?  If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend watching it.  Oh my word!  I forgot how much that movie makes me cry.   I won't share too many spoilers; but one thing really stood out when I watched it this time.  Sam didn't question who he was.   He wasn't "normal" according to society's standards, but that didn't hinder him from fulfilling his responsibilities as a father.  Their perception didn't keep him from having compassion towards every person he came in contact with.  As a matter of fact, he didn't really seem to acknowledge that he had a disability at all.   He wasn't a victim; he faced his challenges head on.

      Do you ever look at yourself and think, "I am not enough"?  I've been guilty of that.  Too often, we get distracted by our imperfections.  God created each of us for a purpose, and we are fearfully and wonderfully made!  The Creator of the universe designed us.   He doesn't make mistakes!    I challenge you to see yourself and others through God's eyes.   Dig into His word and find out exactly what He says about you, and train yourself to speak what He speaks.  Be confident in who He created you to be!

Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
