Blessed Beyond Measure
Hey, y'all! I am constantly saying that I am blessed beyond measure, and I truly am! I have an amazing story to share, and I hope you find it as exciting as I do!
On July 28, 2017, I received a message through Facebook from a lady that works with ancestryDNA. She informed me that she was assisting someone search for their birth father. The matches lead her to my Knight/Wiggins line with matches on both sides. She said that Kim was born about 1969 in Vietnam to a Vietnamese mother and an American soldier. She asked if I knew any Vietnam Vets that might fit the circumstances. I told her I was unsure if any of my uncles were over there, but I knew my dad served in Vietnam. I agreed to take a DNA test to find out if our DNA had matches.
As soon as I returned from my mission trip last month, I mailed my DNA to ancestry.com. During the waiting time, I got connected with Kim through Facebook. We instantly connected with each other. We have a lot of similarities, and our families thought we favored a lot in looks. Deep in my heart, I kept secretly hoping she would be my sister.
Last Thursday, I received an email from ancestry.com with my DNA results. I sent a message to the DNA analyst to find out about the meaning of the results immediately. Sure enough, Kim is my sister! So, let me introduce the exciting blessing that God has sent to our family!
This is Kim Truong. She was born in Saigon on June 12, 1969. She has been in the states for almost 30 years. She lives in Texas with her husband and three kids, two sons and a daughter.
Isn't she beautiful? That's my sister! I am so excited to meet her in person! I love her so much already. God is such a good God. I am so very thankful that He brought this beautiful blessing into our lives. This is only the beginning; I know God has so much more in store for us!
