Be Relentless in 2019!

Hey, y’all!   I have been horribly neglectful of blogging this year.   The year 2018 is ending; and it has not been without challenges.  However, challenges were accepted and conquered!   We persevered and endured.  God has been FAITHFUL!

I began this year with the word “intentional” as my theme for 2018.  I’m sure I failed at times this year, but I do feel like I accomplished being intentional in several areas of my life.  One of my greatest accomplishments of the year was joining a friend in reading through the entire Bible in 90 days!   It was a lot to absorb, but it was my very first time finishing the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation, without losing momentum.   Having a friend keeping me accountable was a tremendous help!   In finishing our 90 day challenge, we decided to break it down and participate in a 365 reading plan as a group in 2019.   Anyone is welcome to join us!

My word for 2019 is “RELENTLESS”.    I want to be as relentless in my pursuit of God and His will as He is with me.    According to the dictionary, relentless means “oppressively constant; incessant”.  It refers to a person as someone who keeps trying and never gives up.  I want to be relentless in my faith, my prayer life, and every other area of my life.

This thing called life can definitely throw some unexpected curves.  However, if God is our focus; we will be able to keep peace in all our circumstances.  Don’t get discouraged.  Don’t give up. Be relentless!   God is on your side!   He will never leave you or forsake you.   He is forever faithful.

1 Peter 5:7-8 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 43:18-19 Don’t remember the former things; don’t dwell on things past. Watch! I’m about to carry out something new! And now it’s springing up don’t you recognize it? I’m making a way in the wilderness and paths in the desert.

                                                   HAPPY NEW YEAR!
